Found a little place of loveliness

We took a day off yesterday, to kick about Glasgow as tourists. The weather was dreich! However, we found a lovely cafe to take shelter in.

Unity Enterprise operates the Spoon Cafe in the Trongate. These are no ordinary cafes; they are actually social enterprises!

Unity offers a good range of fresh food, but more than this they provide free food and hot drinks and also informal support to people in Glasgow City Centre who are affected by homelessness or poverty.

The food was delicious, service was friendly and prompt and the prices were very reasonable for being located in the city centre.

Spoon operates a pay it forward policy too, which means you can round up your bill and the extra money helps someone who needs it. Just lovely.
