Motivational Monday

Motivational Monday!

As Renfrewshire, along with some other local authority areas, moves into level 2; we’ll be trying our best to heed this advice and be kind.

Everyone will have their own levels of comfort, their own strategies in place to cope, and an idea of what works for them.

We hope today is a pleasant one for you all!

Monday Motivation

Wow! It has been a lifetime since we felt motivated. Both in work and our personal lives.

But, we’re back and are truly feeling grateful for our health and our lovely clients who’ve helped our business to continue throughout these very challenging times.

We received a totally unexpected gift from our clients Stuart and Michelle, from M.E.R.J Transport Ltd. and it reminded us as to why we do what we do. Thanks guys! We’re blown away with your generosity.

From the bottom of our heart, thank you to all our clients for keeping us going. From gifts, to a supportive chat when we go for our lunchtime walks, it all makes such a difference.

We’ve been reminded that we’re appreciated and it’s given back our spark.

Stay safe and in good health everyone.

C Allan & Son Accountancy Services Turn 7!

We are 7 today!

It seems like we started the company years ago, but also just yesterday.

Thank you to all of our clients, those in the past and especially, our current ones. Without you guys we have nothing.

We’re on the slow burn – growing continually each week, and ensuring that our service never changes.

It’s acceptable to have cake on your businesses birthday, right?!

Question – ‘What does this company do best?’

Our client said, “Accountancy, bookkeeping and dealing with self-assessment can be daunting – you make this so accessible and never make me feel as though I ‘should know better’. Really helpful and informative at tailoring to what your client needs!”

Reaching our goals

Back in 2013 when we incorporated C Allan & Son, we underpinned the values that our company would be founded upon (they have never changed and can be found on our website, under ‘about us’).

We stated proudly, “We believe in real time information, informal meetings and knowing our clients’ businesses personally”.

We are exceptionally proud to share that 77% of our clients when asked ‘What does this company do really well?’ responded that we communicate with them.

Not only this, when we communicate, we give information promptly and in such a way that is plainly understandable.

In addition, we are really helpful and informative at tailoring to what our clients need.

We will continue to do our best for our clients because we appreciate your business and we believe in doing things better.

Thank you for your continued support, C Allan & Son Accountancy Services would be nothing without it.

Paisley

Have you ever visited Scotland’s biggest town?

If not, you’re missing out – seriously, this town has so much history and beautiful architecture in abundance.

It still catches me by surprise, and I live here.

Paisley’s influence is far-reaching and there are several wonderful pieces about the town’s rich history. My personal favourite place for information on the town is https://www.paisley.org.uk/

For our lunch, Chris and I like to get out of the office and our meanders take us all through the town centre (sometimes beyond, depending on how many calories we need to burn!).

I try and capture the highlights of our walks for the business Instagram page, cos you know, accountancy can be rather dull if you’re not into it. If you’d be interested in giving our page a follow, the handle is c_allan_and_son_accountancy.

Hope to see you on the ‘gram!

Happy Burns Supper!

We’d like to wish all of our clients and those of you who read the blog (namely my mum!) a very happy Burns day.

Enjoy your haggis, neeps and tatties later on – we will be getting stuck in.

In honour of the great man, here is Robert Burns’ famous Address to the Haggis:

“Fair fa’ your honest, sonsie face,
Great chieftain o the puddin’-race!
Aboon them a’ ye tak your place,
Painch, tripe, or thairm:
Weel are ye worthy o’ a grace
As lang’s my arm.

The groaning trencher there ye fill,
Your hurdies like a distant hill,
Your pin wad help to mend a mill
In time o need,
While thro your pores the dews distil
Like amber bead.

His knife see rustic Labour dight,
An cut you up wi ready slight,
Trenching your gushing entrails bright,
Like onie ditch;
And then, O what a glorious sight,
Warm-reekin, rich!

Then, horn for horn, they stretch an strive:
Deil tak the hindmost, on they drive,
Till a’ their weel-swall’d kytes belyve
Are bent like drums;
The auld Guidman, maist like to rive,
‘Bethankit’ hums.

Is there that owre his French ragout,
Or olio that wad staw a sow,
Or fricassee wad mak her spew
Wi perfect scunner,
Looks down wi sneering, scornfu view
On sic a dinner?

Poor devil! see him owre his trash,
As feckless as a wither’d rash,
His spindle shank a guid whip-lash,
His nieve a nit;
Thro bloody flood or field to dash,
O how unfit!

But mark the Rustic, haggis-fed,
The trembling earth resounds his tread,
Clap in his walie nieve a blade,
He’ll make it whissle;
An legs an arms, an heads will sned,
Like taps o thrissle.

Ye Pow’rs, wha mak mankind your care,
And dish them out their bill o fare,
Auld Scotland wants nae skinking ware
That jaups in luggies:
But, if ye wish her gratefu prayer,
Gie her a Haggis”.

Happy New Year!

To all of our existing clients and the prospective ones.

We hope you all had a restful and happy festive period – we did and we are all set for 2019.

Our New Years resolutions include the usual: eat healthier (we tried the Plant Based Kitchen range from Marks &Spencer earlier, very tasty!), get more exercise (the scary one) and keep on top of household administration.

What are yours?

If you’ve made the decision to try and keep on top of your business paperwork/bookkeeping and know that you’ll need help, why not look at our fixed fee, pay monthly packages?

The packages given on the website are a starting point – should you have less transactions to process; give us a call or email (contact information on here too!) and we can discuss.

Here’s to 2019!
