Service Announcement

Hello!

A service announcement from us, for you.

Due to our continued search for an Assistant Accountant, we’ve had to devise a more efficient way of working.

From now and until we have the new staff member in place:

1. We’ll be running administration only days on a Monday and Thursday. During these days we’ll answer emails, telephone enquiries and register clients on our various systems.

2. Our appointments are currently running two weeks in advance, please bear this in mind when looking to arrange to speak to one of the team. We’re only able to accommodate 2 appointments per week, at this time.

3. Chris’ mobile number will operate from 10am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. We’d ask that this is only used for urgent matters. A large proportion of Chris’ day is spent on the phone and he’ll normally ask you to confirm in an email what work you wish carried out or what advice you require, so it would be preferable to email in the first instance.
This would ensure that Chris has time to get through work and provide in depth staff training.

4. We will no longer be using WhatsApp or text messaging as a means of communication. We’ve found that these aren’t efficient tools for running the business professionally.

We’ve started seeing some clients face to face, and are happy to continue doing so if face coverings are worn throughout the meeting. Alternatively, we are offering video calls or good ol’ fashioned telephone appointments!

We’ll be continually monitoring how we do things, to try and ensure we continue to offer a professional service throughout these difficult times.

Thanks, as always, for your continued support.

Chris, Michelle and the team

COVID-19

In line with the current guidance regarding COVID-19, if you have flu-like symptoms and a high temperature, please contact us to organise an alternative form of appointment (or reschedule).

We can be contacted via Skype for video calling, or the good old fashioned telephone for a voice chat.

Thanks for helping us keep each other safe!

We Aren’t Looking for SEO

We have been made aware that our details have been uploaded to the website Bark, stating that we are looking for a freelancer to undertake SEO for us.

This lead is entirely false. We are not looking for SEO from an outside company, it is all done in-house.

We apologise to the freelancers that have contacted, but can only state that we have never given our details to Bark.

It is extremely distressing to know that small business owners like us are gearing up to speak to us, in the belief that they will hopefully gain work out of it. We know the time it takes to prepare a pitch and the nerves you feel prior to speaking to a potential client.

We hope this information helps people who may be considering buying leads from companies like this.

Business as usual!

Isn’t it lovely having a good holiday?

We were lucky enough to visit the wonderful Isle of Gigha, for our annual trip to the Hebrides.

3 weeks in the glorious Scottish sunshine (yep, you read that correctly. We do actually get our fair share of the yellow stuff). Good food, excellent people and loads of nature. It really was just what the doctor ordered.

We’re back in Paisley now, and cracking on with work.

We hope you’re all enjoying the summer!

Results of our survey…so far

Thank you to all of our clients who have completed our satisfaction survey!

We are delighted so far with the results – 90% of respondents think we provide a very high-quality service (10% believe we offer a high-quality service).

90% of respondents feel we offer excellent value for money, with 10% believing we offer above average value for money.

100% of respondents feel we are an extremely professional company, and 100% would recommend us to their friends or colleagues.

If we’ve sent you a link to the survey, we would be grateful if you could take a couple of minutes to complete it.

This survey and client reviews are the only way we can measure how well we are doing – our reputation is incredibly important to us!

Good news Friday!

When we started our business we sat down and listed the things we wanted to do differently. At the top of that list was customer service. We wanted and still, want to do our best for our clients. It’s what we thrive on!

Accountancy for a very long time has been one of those professions that people simply accept a rather poor service; especially little or no contact with the person they are paying a pretty penny to, to undertake work on their behalf.

This work is often complex and people find it daunting in the first instance when the professional doesn’t involve the client in the process this seems to make things all the more stressful.

Of course, it takes time to touch base with your clients, but it’s the clients that make your business; they deserve this meaningful relationship.

So, when we receive emails like this – it makes our hearts jump for joy and we’re proud of how we have stuck to the very founding principle of our business – let’s do things differently.

I won’t post the full transcript but just an excerpt that has made our Friday:

“That’s amazing news, thank you very much for all your efforts!

Thank you again, and you can rely on me recommending your firm to friends in the future”.

We hope your weekend is getting off to a good start too!

Mayday!

We are experiencing some issues with the contact form on our website.

To speak to one of the team, please email info@caas.org.uk.

We are working to resolve this issue, as quickly as possible.

If you have tried to reach us via the contact form in the last few weeks, then we haven’t received your information – all we get is a suspicious looking email, with no data or content; so it’s deleted.

If you’d still like to chat to us, we’re here and would love to hear from you (again).
